English plays a double role in India

Role Of English In India:-

 

After 1947 institutions and instruments were retained in India.

A new national symbolized the emergency.

 

There was earlier aspiration and pressures to make Hindi as national 

 language but English was official language.

 

It symbolized pride, new, value and power as well new national language.

 

Finaly Hindi was selected as Devngri script.

 

Because of multinational character of India.

 

Official language of the state with provision for continuded use of english language.

 

English Language Has Two Side:-

 

(1). Satan:- God Of Evil.

 

(2). Saraswati:- God Of Knowldge.

 

The side of saraswati importance of English language.

 

1. English is the language of knowledge.

2. English is the linguafraca.

3 It is to be a prestigious language and is in great demand.

Satanic side of English Language:-

 

1. English for elite.

2. Political weapon for Non- Hindi elite.

3. English is colonial language.

4. Those who take Indian language as medium they are a small minority and poor student.

 

This is now English language has both side Satan and Saraswati.

(3) In the last question to the last Indian thoughts in the wast land. Eliot good work leads salvation and progress and bad work leads to damaya life. He uses the word “DA”. The gods interpret this as

(3). Dayadhvam.

 

Datta :- Given, Sacrifice

Damyata :- Control
